Minnesota Rose Society

 Membership Information

The Minnesota Rose Society was organized in 1939 to foster the hobby of growing roses in Minnesota and surrounding areas. The Minnesota Rose Society is affiliated with the American Rose Society, The Minnesota State Horticultural Society and the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.

 Dinner meeting are held the second Friday of January, March, May, September and November at various locations around the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. The meeting begin at 6:00PM with a Social hour. Dinner is at 7:00PM followed by a short business meeting. The evenings program generally begins at 8:00PM.

 Members receive an information packet containing the American Rose Society’s “Handbook for Selecting Roses” (a rose buying guide), a copy of “Growing Roses in Minnesota”, written by some of Minnesota’s best rose growers, and a current membership roster. 

In addition to the dinner meetings and information packet, members have access to the Society’s library of rose books and videos.
